The light outside feels like its night. Just the cat and I and the tick tock of the clock. All the rest of the house asleep. A much needed getaway in store, adventure to the mountains to clear my brain of clutter and work I refocus. I will sleep in the car and wake up to scenes of leaves turning green to gold and maybe snow and rain and we’ll keep driving and I’ll want to keep going and going through Utah onto San Diego down to Baja. I need the sea and salt in the air and warm pelican breeze.
